1. Information We Collect

A. Account and Authentication Information

When you create an account in Fitness Trend, we collect:

• Email Address: Used for secure account identification, login authentication, and essential account communications.
• Authentication Identifiers: Authentication tokens provided by secure OAuth providers (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or Supabase Auth email OTP).

B. Fitness and Health Tracking Data

To provide adaptive expenditure calculations and macro tracking, you may provide:

• Body Weight Records: Daily or periodic body weight measurements and preferred weight units (lb / kg).
• Nutritional Entries: Food descriptions, calorie / kilojoule counts, macronutrient breakdowns (protein, carbs, fat), and timestamps.
• User Preferences & Goals: Desired weekly weight change rate, goal weight, start date, and TDEE calculation mode.

C. Photos and Camera Access

If you choose to use our AI Photo Food Logging feature, the app requests permission to access your device's camera and photo library. Photos you take or select of meals are uploaded securely to our cloud infrastructure to extract nutritional information. We do not use your meal photos for facial recognition or any unrelated advertising purpose.

D. Device and Technical Information

We automatically collect minimal diagnostic data such as device type, operating system version, app version, network connectivity status, and error logs to ensure smooth offline synchronization and reliable app performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely for the following purposes:

• Core App Functionality: To calculate your dynamic Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), determine customized daily calorie targets, track weight trends, and maintain your nutritional diary.
• AI Nutritional Recognition: To process meal photos and voice/text descriptions via secure automated vision models.
• Offline Sync: To queue and synchronize your logs between your local device and secure cloud storage.
• Account Management: To verify your identity and restore your data across devices.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the app securely:

• Database & Authentication: Powered by Supabase Inc. (PostgreSQL database, encrypted cloud storage, and secure authentication). Data is hosted in SOC 2 Type II compliant data centers with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
• AI Vision & Language APIs: Meal photos and food descriptions are transmitted securely to advanced AI inference models to estimate portion sizes and macronutrients. These models process queries transiently to return nutritional estimates.
• Cloudflare: Website hosting, DDoS protection, and SSL/TLS certificate management.

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal or fitness data to any advertising networks or data brokers.

4. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your data is stored securely in your private cloud account. We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, destruction, or alteration.

We retain your fitness logs and account information for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, all personal data, photos, weight logs, and nutrition records are permanently erased.

5. Your Rights & Data Control (Google Play & GDPR Compliance)

You have full control over your personal data:

• Access & Review: You can view all logged entries, weights, and profile settings within the app at any time.
• Account & Data Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly inside the app under Settings > Delete Account or submit a web request via our dedicated Account & Data Deletion Page.
• Data Rectification: You can edit or delete individual food logs, weight entries, and target preferences anytime.

6. Children's Privacy

Fitness Trend is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to our app features or regulatory changes. When updates occur, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
